Genting Highlands Ride 2 (22/6/2008)

Hahaha.......did Genting Ride again but this time for the Way2Ride guys. Initially 13 gathered at the HOA at 8am. By 8.30 we rolled wheels and took 1.5 hours to reach Sempah top. Among the favorites was Kevin Han who wanted to climb. Sadly his knee pain forced him to retreat home. Sad. He will be missed

With 12 left we headed to the heavens. As we started from Check Point 1 till roundabout 1 we were left with 9 people. 3 others turned back due to the severity of the climb for them. From then to Gohtong Jaya, we brave souls went tru all the torture....me again esp. Regrouped at Gohtong Jaya for short makan and minum. Mind you food up there cost a bomb. 1 nasi lemak + 1 teh ais + soya bean + air botol 250ml = RM7.30 ...... speechless.

4 souls decided to go down. Left 5 of us to venture the notorious climb. For them its their first time up. And going tru all the hellish climbs, we all managed to reach the top. Arrived at abt 12.30pm and freezing cold. Then went for a spot of warm teh tarik....costing RM1.50 a small glass..... Why did i bring only RM10 with me up there......

Going down was FUN n CHALLENGING. Braking must be on full alert and mind must be on the road alone. And we still manage to overtake cars! Max speed down for me was 64kmh. it could have gone more easily.......but i had to brake or else i die. The whole downhill was a blast. And not to mention hot brakes n rims. They were still warm when we reached down to Sempah. Done down to HOA by abt 2.30++ afternoon.

Overall a brilliant ride with brilliant riders.

Miracles Do Happen

Is God real? Sure. How i know? He healed me today.

I was having tonsilitis for abt a week, since last friday or so.......and its really a pain in the neck.......or shud i say throat. Swallowing was like downing acid. Pain man......

The strepsils werent of any help. And i was almost at the last straw to go see the doctor. Faster with antibiotics.

But today i was serving in church. And in the morning session i went. With that same pain from last week. Never died down.

The worship was superb......like any sunday in the House of God.

As we near the end of worship........with soft background music......Pastor came out with this opening prayer "Father You heal our bodies.......heal any sicknesses in us.....and make us healthy and whole again....." It just seemed so timely for me........

Immediately i identified with this prayer.....i agreed with it......and put all my faith in this prayer.....coz id rather not see the doc. It was so subtle a prayer.

As we ended to go into the Word....after abt 5, 10 minutes.....to my joy the pain was GONE. G O N E. Zipp......nada.....elek.......disappeared......out of sight........no where to be seen.

HALLELUJAH! PRAISE GOD! I was just so thankful and happy i have a God that heals on the spot. Im so thankful God is here in my life with me. Im so thankful. Just so thankful. If u still dont believe me.......thats fine. But you be missing the best thing in the human race.

But the even BEST thing is......like i said many times. God is not for Christians. God did not make Christians. God is for everyone who believes. God made you and me equal with love. God made us for Him. So whatever He has done in me.........He wants to do the same in you. Just open up......and see for yourself, Gods wonders. He knows you by name. He knows you inside out. He created you. Not by accident. But with purpose.

How do I get INTO heaven?

Exclusive or not?

I just happen to be at Borders , Time Square today. Was celebrating Mei Hwei's 21st bday. Lol. Shes a big girl. While waiting for other frends............guess wat? The Christian section was infront of me. Gotta see wats some good stuff to read.

Went tru on book - 3:16, The Numbers of Hope by Max Lucado. Very awesome book centered about the passage from John 3:16. Tells everything we need, should and must know not just for Christians alone.......but for the whole world to know. Sadly......at RM100........i wasnt in a position to land this catch........sheesh.........rising petrol prices better not effect book prices.

Then i went over to another book (forgotten title n author) but when i read tru........it was another great writing centered about Christianity's Problems gaining acceptance worldwide. Then the one issue that was discussed was EXCLUSIVENESS.

It seemed tat many if not all non-Christians (no offence meant) says that Christianity, Jesus, God and Holy Spirit are ONLY for Christians. As in like we belong to a club. Exclusive. Outsiders not allowed. Our bouncer angels will make sure only those with a ring above their heads enters this club. So is it exclusive? Sounds like a really darn convincing YES.

But lets clear somethings first. Fact 1 is that Christianity is not JUST only made FOR and BY Christians. Thats what the world thinks.........especially if one hasnt gone tru the Bible. No where in the Bible has ever been mentioned about this exclusiveness. None. Go on and read all the books in the Old and New Testament and u will never ever find it. Why? Back to John 3:16 again. "....whoever believes......"

I was really into this as i read deeper. It was a really good read and eye opener. Just that the darn RM99 price tag......

Christianity is not exclusive to the world..........yes.........a truth.........but the other truth is...........u NEED something exclusive to get you in. Its really no secret what im talking about. Salvation.

Like i said it isnt an exclusive club only meant for the believers or Jesus Christ. Any tom dick and harry who wishes to join in can. Theres no one to stop you. BUT then if u WANT to be in this awesome happening super club.........membership is the norm. But this membership is free. All u need to do is just ask. Simple? Yes. Too easy? Yes. Too good to be true? Yes. How come? Coz thats how wonderful God is.

Ask what? Forgiveness and salvation. Thats how to get in. Not by counting, not by shedding blood, not by formalities, not even by law. It just takes the simple heart and mind to ask for something so great that will be given 100% guaranteed.

If we just take some time to see what Jesus did during his 3 years of ministry , how can anyone miss the whole point that God is trying to tell us all this while. Some people say Jesus was a man. A kind teacher. Man of good. A prophet. A wise person. Fearless. Brave. But i say He is God.

He is God? If He is God how on earth He landed on the cross? Why not He show His powers? Who not resist? As the nail was placed on His palm, with the hammer ready to strike, why didnt He pull away or even struggle? Coz in those hands, were a long list. A list of your wrongs, my wrongs, your sins, my sins, your death, my death. Because He saw that list.........and not want YOU AND ME to die first............He let the nail go through His hands watching that list PINNED on the cross forever where it belongs.

In one short simple phrase i can say is that :

He came not to dwell among the insiders or to fellowship with the saved, He came to invite the outsiders and save the lost.

*It has come to my knowledge that Edison Chen (along side Sammi Cheng and Jay Chou) has accepted Jesus as his Lord and Saviour and Redeemer. A once morally corrupt man, now stands before God whole and pure again. Only through Jesus can he be counted righteous again. The world says other wise, but John 3:16 says otherwise. God never sees anyone as unworthy nor loves anyone unequally.
