Timmy.......meet Buddy!

Rachei if ur reading this, jus something to say abt my lovely little fren who shud be meeting urs now. ^^

Anywayz, Buddy was well, my buddy...XD. Been with her eversince i was a kid. Shes the type that likes to laze around but also enjoys some serious trash talking with strangers!!! Muahaha.......Rottweilers are like that i suppose.

Erm she never really bites anyone outside the immediate family. Except the neighbours, she'll tear up a bunny crossing the road.....

But for 11 years with her, i felt she was one of my closest non human frends. Late 1998 after the Commonwealth games, Buddy got sick (pneumonia) and for a week she was down. Even the vet couldnt do much since it was at the final stage. Of course me being the unknown to things at that time, i tot she will get better, by miracle. But i saw wat was to come

I remember that Saturday morning, i got up early. The vet was at the gates but i was locked in. Mum went to the market. So i asked him to wait a while. Mum came back. He inspected Buddy. And told us wat to do in the event Buddy leaves.

Buddy was lying on the floor, weak, haven eaten anything solid for few days. We tried some glucose water, but it wasnt enough. She kept vomiting. By afternoon she was really really in bad shape. Her breathing was shallow. It was just after lunch......then mum came in after checking buddy. She took the phone and called dad to get the animal department........Buddy left. Quietly she left us. Peaceful at least. I saw her breathing had stopped. And i went to the back of the hse......wept bitterly a while. Mum n bro cudnt hold back either. I mean, 11 years (Buddy was 77) with her is a fairly long while, esp since we both were born at abt the same time. The only picture of her i have when she was a puppy was when i was still at my old Shah Alam home.

The animal department came and took Buddy. So for the first time in my life i had nobody to look out the door or call. I have a usual habit when i get up every morning to look out the grill gates to look for her. On Sunday morning, i forgot she wasnt there anymore. Needed time to get used to it. Oh well, pet heaven was always on my mind. I remember my granfather (fondly called Atuk) telling she's probably with Saint Peter. Haha......thats nice to hear, comforting. Probably she and Timmy are having tea and talking abt the all the mailmen they've chased. LOL!

Still miss her after 9 years. 10th year coming soon. Time flies......still i rememebr her all this while.

Heres to Buddy and Timmy!
